APIC North Carolina to Offer Fall Conference: The Many Faces of Infection Prevention

 The North Carolina Chapter of the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC-NC) is holding a fall educational conference, “The Many Faces of Infection Control,” on September 19-21, 2011.

PURPOSE

To provide strategies that will assist the Infection Preventionist to achieve and maintain success in today’s changing healthcare environment.

PROGRAM OBJECTIVES

1. To enhance the Infection Prevention and Control Professional’s scientific knowledge base about healthcare associated infections.

2. To increase the Infection Prevention and Control Professional’s knowledge in the understanding and application of surveillance definitions for infection prevention.

3. To enhance the Infection Prevention and Control Professional’s knowledge related to the most current guidelines governing sterilization and disinfection.

4. To enhance the Infection Prevention and Control Professional’s knowledge of epidemiologically important microorganisms.
