Arizona Health Care Association Hosting Clostridium Difficile Pre-conference Intensive

The Arizona Health Care Association will be holding a skilled nursing pre-conference intensive about Clostridium difficile at its upcoming annual conference and trade show.

Attendees at the pre-conference intensive will hear a presentation about how skilled nursing facilities have managed C-diff outbreaks, learn about a new C. diff Toolkit, and hear about the state Healthcare-Associated Infections (HAI) advisory committee that brings experts together to provide best practices in HAI prevention.

Speakers at the pre-conference will include:

  • Deborah Dutton, RN, CIC, ICP, Infection Control & Prevention, Cancer Treatment Centers of America at Western Regional Medical Center;
  • Mary Ann Yahl, RN, BSN, CIC, Senior Infection Preventionist, Banner Desert Medical Center; and
  • Aarikha D’souza, MPH, Healthcare Associated Infections Program Manager, Infectious Disease Epidemiology Section, Arizona Department of Health Services.

The pre-conference will be held on Tuesday, August 23, 2011 from 9-11:30.
