May 31, 2011

The Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) has started Project JOINTS (Joining Organizations in Tackling SSIs) in five states. The aim of this project is to incorporate enhanced surgical bundle elements (known as the Enhanced Surgical Bundle) for the purpose of reducing surgical site infections in patients undergoing hip and knee arthroplasty.

The initiative is funded by the federal government and provides participant states with the tools, viagra 40mg resources, and support to help implement the suggested Enhanced Surgical Bundle.

Participant states include Arkansas, Colorado, Michigan, New York, and Tennessee. If your organization is in one of these states and you wish to participate in the initiative, you are urged to email ProjectJOINTS@ihi.org.
