Live From Switzerland: ICPIC 2011 Free Teleclasses

The 1st International Conference on Prevention & Infection Control, ICPIC 2011, will be held this week, June 29 to July 2, 2011 in Geneva, Switzerland.

The conference will “share knowledge and experience in HAI prevention and control of antimicrobial resistance from the numerous countries and cultures around the world.”

By special invitation of the organizers of the conference, and by sponsorship from Virox Technologies, Inc., the opening lectures and keynotes occurring on Wednesday, June 29, 2011 will be broadcast as a free live teleclass.

The agenda for the teleclass is as follows:

  • 11:00am.  Welcome Address by Professor Didier Pittet and Professor Andreas Voss
  • 11:30am. Keynote Lecture: Patient Safety: International Perspectives. Sir Liam Donaldson
  • 11:50am. Special Lectures: The New Gram-Negatives Challenge. Professor Tim Walsh, Dr. John McConnell (Editor of The Lancet), Professor Alexander Friedrich.
  • 6:35pm. Keynote Lecture: Infection Control: from Local to Global: Fostering Partnership and Rock’n’Roll. Professor Didier Pittet.

Slides, handouts, and an online recording for the lectures will be available after the live broadcast. The live broadcast will be in audio only.
