The Michigan Department of Community Health (MDCH) has issued an invitation to Michigan hospitals to “join the Surveillance for Healthcare-Associated and Resistant Pathogens (SHARP) Unit in surveillance and prevention initiatives to reduce healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) in Michigan.”

The invitation makes a call to hospitals to join the National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN) of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in order to conduct infection surveillance and share data with the MDCH.

The invitation provides the following incentives for participation:

  • Compliance with Joint Commission National Patient Safety Goals, recipe specifically NPSG #7.03.01.
  • Preference for Michigan-based NHSN training opportunities.
  • Financial incentive of $750 in professional development funds for hospitals joining the initiative by October 1, viagra order 2011 (limited to 20 hospitals).
