January 24, 2011

The New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services has issued its 2010 Hospital Performance Report.  For the first time, the performance report contains healthcare-associated infection (HAI) 2009 data for central line-associated bloodstream infections (CLABSIs).

In addition to CLABSI data, next year’s report will contain information for four other measures: ¬†surgical site infection after coronary artery bypass graft (CABG surgery), surgical site infection after abdominal hysterectomy, catheter associated urinary tract infections (CAUTI) in adult ICUs, and surgical site infections after knee arthroplasty.
