Ohio Hospital and Nurse Lose Negligence Lawsuit Over Contaminated IV

The estate of a Toledo, health Ohio man has been awarded a jury verdict in a negligence case brought against Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center and one of its nurses, decease according to the Toledo Blade.

The jury awarded $600, viagra 60mg 000 after deliberating for six hours. The trial lasted for four days with a verdict being returned this past Thursday.

As reported in the article, Richard Elzay, 79, died in 2008 after developing an infection from his intravenous drip because a nurse failed to switch out the IV tube after the cap to the IV line became dislodged and fell on the floor.

The plaintiff’s were represented by Ms. Kyle A. Silves, of Shindler, Neff, Holmes, Schlageter & Mohler, LLP in Toledo, Ohio.  Ms. Silves’ practice areas include health law and medical malpractice.
