Peggy Lillis Memorial Foundation Celebrates a Year of Successes

For the Peggy Lillis Memorial Foundation (PLMF), a nonprofit organization whose mission is to fight Clostridium difficile through education and advocacy, 2012 marked a year of successes.

The organization’s top  5 successes for 2012 include:

  1. PLMF contributed to a USA Today front page story on Clostridium difficile,
  2. C. difficile walk-a-thon benefiting PLMF was held in August,
  3. The foundation’s public service announcement garnered 5,000+ views,
  4. Along with other patient safety advocates, PLMF executive director Christian John Lillis met with CDC officials, and
  5. PLMF hosted its most successful annual Gala, raising over 47,000 dollars. Dr. Martin Blaser, Chief of Medicine and Microbiology at NYU School of Medicine was presented with PLMF’s Lifetime Achievement Award.
