Study Aims to Survey California Hospitals about Role of Infection Preventionists

A collaborative study between the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC) and the Columbia University School of Nursing will survey California hospitals to determine changes in the role of infection preventionists after the implementation of state mandatory reporting.

Results of the study will be published in the American Journal of Infection Control and will also be presented at APIC’s Annual Conference in New Orleans.

Funding of the study was provided by the Blue Shield of California Foundation.
